Our Marketing Philosophy

The marketing industry has changed immeasurably in the last decade and continues to evolve at breakneck speed. But regardless of technological advancements, our main marketing principles and philosophy remain the same, which are as follows:

  • BRAND IS KING
Positioning, proposition and messaging need to be spot on together with a well-designed website before any marketing campaigns are implemented - otherwise marketing budgets will be wasted.

  • BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE NOT AN OVER-RELIANCE ON DATA
So many marketing agencies shout about how they are “data driven”. Bollocks. Data is nothing without business intelligence, strategy development and creative thought. Original campaigns with a well-thought-out strategy are essential to success; sure, data helps to refine campaigns - but experience, creativity and commercial intelligence are more important than being solely “data focused”.

  • WEB TRAFFIC IS A PRIORITY, NOT SOCIAL VIEWS OR FOLLOWERS
Targeted web traffic is far more important than social views and followers. I once had a restaurant (which sadly didn't survive COVID). The chef wanted to use an influencer to promote brunch; he got over 100,000 views for a Reel. Everyone was very happy. Except me. It made absolutely no difference to sales, as I knew it wouldn't, and it made absolutely no difference to web traffic. The website was where people viewed the menu, saw photos of the decor and dishes; it’s also where they book a table. An amazing review by Jay Rayner, on the other hand, increased web traffic by 16,000 that weekend; you know you’ll be busy after that!

  • WHAT HAPPENED TO CREATIVITY?
Similar to point 2, marketing used to be a creative industry, but now there are far too many number crunchers!

  • MAXIMISE EACH PLATFORM’S CAPABILITIES
If budgets allow, use of all the ad products on a platform - Lead Gen forms, Messages, Reels, Carousel all play a part as well as Google Display, Search and Local.

  • RETARGETING IS ESSENTIAL
It’s far better to reach 20 people 5 times rather than 100 people once. Retargeting website visitors across Social Media and the Google Display Network are an essential part of all our campaigns.

  • STAYING UP TO DATE
Software, platforms etc, are constantly evolving - so we’re obsessive about keeping up to date with the latest developments so our customers don’t have to.
